Over the past few years, we have transformed HGS from a company focused primarily on discovery to a company focused primarily on the commercialization of our late-stage products – BENLYSTA™ (belimumab) for systemic lupus, ZALBIN™ (albinterferon alfa-2b) for hepatitis C, and raxibacumab for inhalational anthrax.

HGS also remains committed to scientific innovation and the discovery and development of new medicines to save and improve lives. We have hundreds of issued U.S. patents covering genes, proteins, antibodies and proprietary technologies, and we have filed U.S. patent applications covering many additional discoveries and inventions.
